I am a senior executive and independent consultant with more than 30 years’ experience across financial services, risk, governance and regulatory environments, operating at executive and board level in complex international organisations.

My career spans senior leadership roles within global banking groups and subsequent independent advisory and consultancy work, supporting organisations through risk, regulatory change, strategic transition and operational transformation.

Executive Leadership – Global Financial Services

I spent the majority of my executive career within Lloyds Banking Group, holding senior roles across retail, commercial, international and private banking businesses.

Key areas of responsibility included:

Enterprise risk, governance and compliance oversight
Audit leadership and development of risk and control methodologies
Executive and board-level decision support
Strategic reviews, restructuring and performance turnaround
M&A evaluation and due diligence

I led the design and implementation of governance and risk control frameworks across international businesses spanning 30+ countries, and played a central role in complex transformation programmes involving new products, operating models and technology platforms.

International Private Banking & Wealth Management

Based in Geneva, I served as a Director of an international private banking business with global responsibility for risk and compliance, and as a member of the executive leadership team.

During this period I:

Supported the restructuring and turnaround of the business
Addressed significant legacy and regulatory issues
Worked closely with the CEO and executive team on strategic repositioning
Held board directorships for trust and fund management entities in Luxembourg and the UK

This role deepened my experience in wealth management, fiduciary oversight and cross-border regulatory environments.

Independent Consulting & Advisory

Following my executive career, I established SW Solutions, providing independent consultancy and advisory support to organisations operating in regulated and complex environments.

My consulting work has included:

Senior risk and governance advisory
Strategic and operational change support
Independent input to boards, investors and leadership teams
Engagements delivered directly and via consultancies and advisory firms

I have also undertaken executive roles within private wealth businesses, including with Nedbank Private Wealth, before returning to independent consultancy.

Review of production and funding models
Independent risk and governance assessment for film and television projects
